Noyes Museum of Art Acquisition

I just wanted to share the amazing news that one of my original oil paintings was acquired by the Noyes Museum of Art. In December 2022, the Noyes Museum featured my original paintings, in a month-long Solo Show at the luxurious Seaview Resort in Galloway, New Jersey, and amongst the pieces on display, they chose to purchase my painting titled "Rain" in early 2023. This piece was an oil painting created from my imagination and is an abstract depiction of my thoughts about the weather.

Finding Inspiration in the Mundane

What do you do when you find that everyday is the same old thing, and you just can not get away from daily chores, meals and basic family stuff? As a mother of young boy and girl twins, I find that every minute to create my work, is a blessing, and every inspiration is hard to come by. So I dream! I dream big, and lately, I have been dreaming about the warm Mediterranean, because if you ever visit there once, it will stay with you forever. I feel lucky to have visited there, as it is one of my most treasured memories as an artist.

Even inspiration in imagination can keep the dreary winter blues away and give you hope of the future. Even though for us here in South Jersey, we have nothing to complain about, compared to the snow in New England area, I still can not help but imagine the warm turquoise waters and golden hues of the sun, and sand giving way beneath my toes.

Try to find a color that excites you, try different mediums, or different subject matter. It never ceases to excite me.
